Every so often, Junction City Public Works staff open fire hydrants throughout the City and allow the water to flow through the pipes. Our hydrant flushing program is very important to our water system. It is an integral part of our ongoing effort to deliver the safest and highest quality water possible. We schedule our flushing program during the wetter months when water supplies are more plentiful. We flush from larger mains first, and then move to smaller mains. The flushing route is carefully planned, and valves are opened and closed to control the direction of the water.
The drop box located at our Municipal Court or “Old City Hall” will no longer be in service. To drop off a payment for Junction City Public Works, EPUD, or Pacific Power, please review our updated locations:

Summer Program Guide
This guidebook outlines all the upcoming events and activities for the summer of 2026, organized by Junction City Community Services. 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report
We're very pleased to provide you with this year's Annual Water Quality Report.
The City of Junction City works around the clock to provide top quality water to every tap. The water system is monitored seven days a week, 365 days per year. Our Utility Crew employees are required to achieve Water Treatment I and Water Distribution II certifications through the Oregon Health Division. Should you experience any problems with your water or just want to ask a question, please contact us. We ask that all our customers help us protect our water sources, which are the heart of our community, our way of life and our children's future.
