On August 17 and 18, 2026, the City of Junction City will be interviewing three finalists to fill the position of City Administrator. The public is invited to participate in a reception to meet the finalists at the Junction City Community Center located at 175 W. 7th Avenue on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 6:00 – 7:00pm.
The interviews are the culmination of the search process which began with the development of a position profile. The Mayor and City Council requested a community-based process that involved stakeholders and community members in Junction City. The profile was developed and approved by the Council based on a series of stakeholder meetings that were held, a community survey, and a public hearing to receive comments identifying the qualities that are important in the next City Administrator. Various questions used for the interview process came directly from that input.
