PATROL TEAM

The Junction City Police Department's primary function is to provide 24 hour police services to the community. The primary focus of the Patrol Team is to handle emergency and non-emergency calls for service. Our officers are highly trained and dedicated to this community, and our goal is to carry out our mission statement while maintaining our core values. The Patrol Team is also dedicated to its many other duties including traffic enforcement, community policing, and municipal code abatement.

The Junction City Police Patrol Team consists of one Police Chief, one Deputy Chief and eight officers.  The department also has two reserve officers and three chaplains. Officers work varying hours providing a uniformed presence 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. The entire community is patrolled during each shift, and officers respond to all calls for service within the city limits of Junction City. 

In addition to responding to calls for service, officers are responsible for problem solving efforts within the community. The department proactively initiates saturation patrols and special enforcement details. Such details include, theft from vehicle surveillance, driving while under the influence enforcement (DUII), curfew, traffic enforcement, bike patrols, drug enforcement and other special enforcement details throughout the year.
