JUNCTION CITY POLICE COMMUNICATIONS CENTER
The Junction City Police Dispatching Team provides public safety dispatch services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our agency is considered a secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point). This means that when someone calls 9-1-1, the call is answered by the Central Lane 9-1-1 Center in Eugene and then forwarded to our agency for dispatching of the appropriate police or fire services. Our Dispatchers provide communications support for the Junction City Police Department, Junction City Rural Fire Department, University of Oregon Police Department and the Union Pacific Railroad Police.
The Dispatch Team is responsible for both emergency and routine police, fire, and medical dispatching, front counter reception, computer entry of calls for service, data entry of all department reports filed, records management, jail monitoring, communications between agencies, and other miscellaneous essential tasks.
