The City of Junction City is one of only a few cities in Oregon that offers its own garbage and recycle collection service. By offering its own collection service it is the department's goal to offer a personalized service to each citizen that utilizes the service.
In 2011, the garbage and recycle drivers collected 2330 tons of garbage and 990 tons of co-mingled, glass, cardboard, yard debris, and leaf recycling.
