Yard Debris Program
The City of Junction City has implemented a curbside yard debris program for a nominal monthly fee. The gray 95-gallon yard debris carts are picked up every other week (non-recycle week) on garbage day. The yard debris is then transported to Lane Forest where it is composted.
What's allowed?
Any organic matter cut above ground is accepted.
This includes:
- Grass
- Leaves
- Plants/Shrubs
- Fallen fruit
- Branches smaller than 2-feet in diameter
- Pruning/clippings
What's NOT allowed?
Anything else.
This includes:
- Dirt
- Household waste
- Sod
- Bark mulch
- Branches larger than 2-feet in diameter
- Animal feces
- Plastic bags
